Monsoon Rush In Pune: Sinhagad Fort & Tamhini Ghat Flooded With People, Traffic Jams Hit Hard; Watch Videos
A day after visuals of HArihar fort flooded with people went viral, now on weekedn, tiourists destinations in Pune like Sinahad fort and Tamhini ghta were seen flooded with traffic.
As soon as pre-monsoon showers hit the district, Punekars take their bikes and cars out and head towards Mulshi, Sinhagad Fort, Khadakwasla cluster dams, and Lonavala-Mahabaleshwar. However, since the rainm sstarted, the traffic snarls at Sinhagad Fort, Lonavala, and Mahabaleshwar roads from Pune have troubled Punekars.
The traffic had reduced in last two weeks due to continuous rain and closure of the fort; however, due to less rains on Sunday, it has resumed again.
Now, on this weekend, Sinhagad Fort road saw traffic snarls stretching from Sinhagad road to the foothill of the fort. While Mulshi road towards Tamhini saw huge traffic snarls.
Meanwhile, the Nashik district, especially during the monsoon, has become a favourite destination for tourists. The mountains, lakes, dams and waterfalls in Igatpuri, Trimbakeshwar, Surgana, Peth and other talukas attract tourists in large numbers. However, the increasing crowd of tourists and the accidents that occur due to it have become a matter of concern.
