Bhopal: Absconding Murder Accused Arrested From Jhansi

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Ashoka Garden police have arrested an absconding accused from Jhansi in an old murder case. Further investigation is underway.

According to police station incharge Anurag Lal, Danish and Adil had a long-standing enmity stemming from a six-year-old dispute involving Adil’s sister and a friend of Danish. In 2018, Adil had stabbed Danish during an altercation, igniting a deep-seated grudge.

On the day of murder, Adil and his associate Javed invited Danish to a secluded area near a drain in Ashoka Garden. The trio consumed alcohol before an argument broke out.

In a fit of rage, Adil allegedly killed Danish and dragged his body using an auto-rickshaw before disposing of it in the drain. Danish’s body was discovered nearly three hours later near Hinotia village.

Javed was arrested soon after the crime, but Adil managed to escape to Jhansi and was hiding at a relative’s house. Based on a tip-off, a police team tracked him and brought him back to Bhopal. On Sunday, he was produced in court and sent to jail. As part of investigation, police paraded him through the crime scene in Ashok Garden.
