‘She Was Too Young’: Priyanka Chopra Is ‘Shook’ As Mujhse Shaadi Karogi Co-Star Shefali Jariwala Passes Away At 42
Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas expressed her shock and paid her condolences after actress Shefali Jariwala, who shared the screen with the former in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, passed away on June 27 in Mumbai. The 42-year-old suffered a massive cardiac arrest and succumbed to it.
Priyanka took to her Instagram handle on Sunday and shared a photo of Shefali on her stories. “So shook. She was too young. Sending condolences to Parag and the family,” the actress wrote.

PeeCee and Shefali worked together in the 2004 film, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, featuring Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. The late actress had a cameo in the film.
Shefali Jariwala’s death
Shefali passed away on the night of June 27 after suffering a heart attack. She was rushed to the Bellavue Hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri suburb, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Her last rites were held in Mumbai on Saturday, June 28, and her husband Parag looked devastated as he performed the rituals. “Pray for my pari,” he told the media and asked them to request the family’s privacy and allow them time and space to grieve.
He immersed Shefali’s ashes at the Juhu beach on Sunday.
Shefali was on anti-ageing treatment: Doctors
Post Shefali’s death, it was revealed that the actress was undergoing anti-ageing treatment as a part of which she also took some medications and injections. The actress was reportedly fasting on the day of her demise, and the medications seemed to have triggered a reaction, leading to an attack.
Shefali became a household name by featuring in the song, Kaanta Laga, in 2002. She was also a part of reality shows like Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13.
