CUET-PG: First Round Of Counsellling; 950 Seats Out Of 1,435 Allotted In First Round
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In the first round of CUET-PG counselling, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has allotted 950 out of 1,435 seats in nearly two dozen professional postgraduate courses offered by its teaching departments.
“Students who received allotments must report to their respective departments and complete document verification over the next three days,” said DAVV admission cell member Prof BK Tripthai.
University officials announced that the second round of counselling will begin on July 1, offering remaining seats—roughly 30%—to eligible candidates, including those with CUET-PG scores. Students who did not get admission in the first round can participate in choice-filling again from July 11.
According to the university, around 1,400 students participated in the first round of choice-filling for 24 PG courses offered by as many as 11 teaching departments. Popular programmes included MBA in Finance Administration, Marketing Management, Business Analytics, e-Commerce, APR, Tourism, Management Science, Media Management, International Business, Business Economics etc.
Despite the high participation, 950 students secured admission in their preferred courses while some seats remained vacant. Officials explained that many students chose four or five popular courses, which quickly filled up, leaving other courses with limited interest.
Document Verification Schedule
Students allotted seats in the first round must report to their respective departments by June 30. Document verification will take place at the university auditorium on Khandwa Road as follows:
July 1: Students of MBA courses from IMS, Economics, IIPS, Computer Science, and EMRC.
July 2: Students from 10 courses under Commerce, Social Science, Law, and Pharmacy.
Fee Payment and Vacancy Details
After document verification, students will have six days (July 1–6) to pay their admission fees. Departments will confirm admissions once fees are paid. On July 7, the university will publish a detailed list of remaining vacant seats on its portal.
