Young tech prodigy honoured at UK Parliament with global award
Meedhansh Kumar Gupta, a young tech prodigy from Jalandhar, has garnered global recognition at the prestigious Global Child Prodigy Awards (GCPA) 2025, held recently at the House of Commons, British Parliament, United Kingdom.
The GCPA is a platform dedicated to celebrating extraordinary talent among children under 15. The event also launched the book Top 100 Child Prodigies 2025, with Gareth Bacon, Member of Parliament for Orpington, honouring talented young achievers from across the globe.
Meedhansh, one of the 100 honourees selected from thousands of nominations across 130 countries, was recognised for his outstanding contributions to education and technology. He is the sole recipient of this recognition from Punjab.
His journey began at just nine years old during the COVID-19 pandemic when he developed a telemedicine portal. Since then, Meedhansh has become a multi-award-winning tech innovator, using his skills for social welfare. His achievements include national and world records, notably being recognised as the Youngest Website Developer in 2020.
Passionate about knowledge-sharing, Meedhansh has trained thousands of peers under the NGO Mission Aatmanirbhar. Demonstrating a relentless pursuit of learning, he completed 50 technology courses in just one week via LinkedIn Learning, a feat that earned him a world record.
In 2022, Meedhansh was awarded India’s highest civilian honour for children, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
