Bank Holiday Today! Check If Banks Are Open In Your State On June 30, See Calendar HERE

As the final Monday of June arrives, customers across India are wondering whether banks will remain open or closed today. According to the official holiday calendar issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for 2025, banks in select regions will observe a holiday on Monday, June 30, due to Remna Ni, a state-level public holiday.

Remna Ni marks the signing of the historic Mizoram Peace Accord and is observed annually on June 30 in remembrance of this significant event. The accord, signed between the Indian government and the Mizo National Front (MNF), ended nearly 20 years of insurgency in the state, restoring peace in the region. As per the RBI’s guidelines under the Negotiable Instruments Act, such regional holidays are recognised alongside national holidays and standard weekly offs, which include the second Saturday and all Sundays of every month.

Are Banks Closed Today?

On June 30, 2025, banking operations will remain suspended exclusively in Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. In all other parts of the country, both public sector and private banks will function as usual. Customers in Mizoram planning any bank visits are advised to reschedule or use online alternatives, as branch services in Aizawl will not be available today.
