According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, Pakistan’s passport ranking has improved and now Pakistani citizens can travel to 32 countries visa-free or through visa-on-arrival.
Pakistan Passport Ranking: For Pakistan, this change not only marks a diplomatic breakthrough but also a major benefit for ordinary citizens. The facility of visa-free or on-arrival travel to 32 countries gives citizens a new way to move towards international opportunities.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2025 report, Pakistan has improved its global passport ranking tremendously. Pakistan has now reached 100th position, which was 113th in 2021.
The Henley Passport Index is prepared with the help of international citizenship and residence consulting firm Henley & Partners. This ranking is based on how many countries a country’s citizens can travel to visa-free or with visa-on-arrival facility.
According to a recent report published by Gulf News, Pakistani passport holders can now travel to 32 countries where visa is not required or visa on arrival is available.
The countries where Pakistanis can travel visa free include Barbados, Brunei, Cambodia, Cape Verde Islands, Comoro Islands, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kenya, Madagascar, Maldives, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Nepal, Niue, Palau Islands, Qatar, Rwanda, Samoa, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu and Vanuatu
A major reason for this ranking improvement is the recent bilateral agreement between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), allowing visa-free travel to diplomatic and official passport holders of both countries.
The agreement with the UAE not only strengthens the mutual relations between the two countries, but also gives a new direction to Pakistan’s global identity. In the future, more such agreements can further increase the strength of Pakistan’s passport.
Singapore has been at the top in the list of the world’s most powerful passports. People from here can travel visa-free to 193 countries. People from Japan and South Korea can travel visa-free to 190 countries.
People from Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain can travel visa free to 189 countries.
