Don't remove Facebook, Instagram, X and other social media information from your US visa application — it could lead to rejection or even future ineligibility

The US Embassy in India has issued a warning. Visa applicants must disclose all social media usernames from the last five years. Failure to do so can result in visa denial. Student and exchange visa applicants need to make their social media accounts public. USCIS will change its SMS notification number to 872466 from July 1, 2025.
