JoSAA Announces IIT Orientation And Class Start Dates For New Batch; Check Full Schedule Here
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the academic calendar for the 2025–26 batch in all 23 IITs, tracing a three-stage sequence that involves physical reporting, orientation, and classes starting.
Depending on the institute, students have to report to their campuses between July 20 and August 4, with IIT Bombay and IIT Gandhinagar opening campuses earliest on July 20 while IIT Tirupati and IIT Indore have the latest reporting date of August 4.
Orientation programs, which are usually accompanied by parents, will immediately succeed reporting and are intended to facilitate students' adjustment to their new surroundings via campus tours, academic orientation, and cultural activities.
While most IITs will initiate their academic sessions between July 28 and August 4, IIT Gandhinagar stands out by extending its foundation programme until mid-August, with formal classes commencing on August 18.
