VIDEO: Iranian Flags & Posters Of Ayatollah Khamenei Surface In Pune’s Loni Kalbhor; Now Removed

A day after a poster of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was put up outside a house in Maurawan town in Uttar Pradesh, posters and flags put up in the Loni Kalbhor area in Pune were also taken down by police on Monday.

Locals also reported that several Iranian nationals who stay in the area had been raising slogans over the past three days.

Following a protest by a right-wing organisation, municipal officials, accompanied by the police, removed the posters and flags.

This comes amidst the escalated tensions between Israel and Iran, which started on June 13 when Israel launched Operation "Rising Lion," targeting Iran's nuclear infrastructure. Iran responded with retaliatory strikes. Last week, Trump declared a ceasefire between Iran and Israel after 12 days of escalating military conflict, urging both sides to maintain restraint.

Meanwhile, in the UP village, a police team on routine patrol spotted the poster in Sayyedabada Mohalla. The personnel approached the house owners and persuaded them to take it down.

They complied and removed the poster themselves. As a result, no case has been registered.

Circle Officer (Purwa) Ajay Kumar Singh said there was no tension in the area and the situation is completely normal.
