Those going to Indralok will get down at Ashok Park station and change the metro, which will save 17 seconds in the journey and two additional trains will be able to run.

In view of this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has changed the rules of metro operation on this corridor. Now from Monday on every working day, the metro will run in two loops on this corridor. DMRC says that with this initiative, the frequency of metro on this corridor will increase and metro will be available in less time than before.

There is a separate loop line between Ashok Park Main Station and Kirti Nagar on the Green Line. 20 trains run on the Green Line every day. Even during peak hours, trains are available on this corridor at an interval of four minutes ten seconds to eight minutes 20 seconds. Every second train running from Kirti Nagar used to go to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh Metro Station in Bahadurgarh.

According to DMRC, from June 30, every week, from Monday to Friday, metro will operate in two loops. In one loop, direct metro will be available between Brigadier Hoshiar Singh station and Kirti Nagar and in the other loop, direct metro will be available between Mundka and Indralok. Therefore, every metro running from Kirti Nagar will go to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh metro station in Bahadurgarh. Passengers going to Indralok from Brigadier Hoshiar Singh station will be able to get down at Ashok Park main station and catch the metro for Indralok.

17 seconds of time will be saved on every trip of the metro

To go from Indralok to Bahadurgarh, passengers will be able to get off at Rajdhani Park station and catch the metro to Bahadurgarh. This will save 17 seconds of time on every trip of the metro. This will enable two additional metro trains to run on the Green Line throughout the day. Based on the feedback received from the passengers, this step has been taken for better traffic between Bahadurgarh and Kirti Nagar Industrial Area. Metro will operate on Saturdays and Sundays as before.
