Corporation plans to enhance online hotel booking

To boost guest bookings, the Chandigarh Industrial Tourism and Development Corporation (CITCO) has planned to enhance online room reservations for all its three Hotel Mountview, Hotel Shivalikview and Hotel Parkview.

Sources said an agenda in this regard would come up for discussion and approval in a meeting of the Board of Directors of CITCO to be held tomorrow.

After inviting bids for purchase of web booking engine, channel manager and revenue management system for online room reservations of all three hotels. The Board would finalise agency in the meeting. The agency will ensure that the online room reservation system works error-free for online room reservation.

The contract agreement with the agency will be for three years and may be extended for two years on the same rate upon satisfactory performance. The total cost of the contract for three years will be nearly Rs 17 lakh.

The procurement of web booking engine would optimise the CITCO’s website for hassle-free booking.
