Vegas Golden Knights land Mitch Marner in blockbuster trade with Maple Leafs and sign 8-year deal

Mitch Marner was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights from the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 1, 2025, subsequently signing an eight-year, $12 million per season contract. In exchange, Toronto acquired center Nicolas Roy. Marner, a star winger, leaves Toronto after being drafted in 2015, while Vegas gains a top forward to bolster their roster.
