Training camp of 12 Punjab Battalion NCC underway at Rayat Bahra Educity

The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-36) of the 12 Punjab Battalion NCC is currently in progress at Rayat Bahra Educity, Chandigarh Road, Hoshiarpur.

The camp, which will continue until July 5, 2025, has drawn enthusiastic participation from 539 NCC cadets across the Senior Division, Senior Wing, Junior Division, and Junior Wing, representing various colleges and schools in the district.

Camp Commandant and Commanding Officer of the 12 Punjab NCC Battalion, Colonel Lovedeep Singh Saini, provided an overview of the comprehensive training being imparted. The regimen includes physical fitness exercises, drill, weapon training, personality development sessions and leadership-building activities.

On the second day of the camp, Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur, Aashika Jain, addressed the cadets, sharing insights from her personal and professional journey. Her motivational interaction encouraged the cadets to embrace discipline, responsibility, and a spirit of public service.

In a notable gesture, the Deputy Commissioner invited the cadets to visit the District Secretariat, offering them a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the functioning of the civil administration.

The camp aims to holistically develop the cadets by enhancing their physical and mental capabilities while instilling the core values of the National Cadet Corps — service, patriotism, leadership, unity and discipline.
