Several terrifying incidents across North India have highlighted the dangers of sudden flash floods and reckless behavior during monsoon. In Haridwar, panic spread when locals spotted three to four young men being swept away by the strong current of the Ganga. They were given first aid and taken to a hospital. In Rajasthan’s Sardarpura village, a Bolero vehicle was swept nearly 40 meters in a rain-swollen drain after the driver lost control while crossing a culvert. Water filled the vehicle, forcing the driver to climb onto the roof and cry for help. Locals rushed to the scene and initiated a rescue. At Langurahi Waterfall, a popular picnic spot, chaos erupted when a sudden flash flood trapped several tourists. Six girls were swept away by the powerful current, and one of them was injured after hitting a rock. She was hospitalized. Meanwhile, in Hapur (UP), a youth trying to cross a flooded underpass on a bike with a child got stranded when the vehicle stalled mid-water. Fortunately, both escaped unharmed.
