Earlier, Visa on Arrival (VoA) facility in UAE was available only to those Indian travelers who had a valid visa or residence permit of countries like US, UK or European Union. But now according to the new rule, Indian citizens who have a passport can also avail this facility by fulfilling certain conditions.

Follow these Visa on Arrival rules

To avail the Visa on Arrival facility, Indian citizens need to follow the simple rules given below:

Passport Validity: You must have an Indian passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in the UAE.

Valid Visa or Residence Permit: You must have a valid visa or residence permit from one of the following countries – the US, the UK, the European Union, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand or Canada.Return Ticket: You will need to show a confirmed return ticket to return to India.

Sufficient Funds: You will need to prove that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses in the UAE.

There are two types of visa options available

The UAE government has given new information related to visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens. Now two types of visa options are available:

14-day visa: With this visa, you can stay in the UAE for a maximum of 14 days. If needed, it can be extended for another 14 days once. Visa fee: AED 100, Extension fee: AED 250

60-day visa (without extension): If you are going for a long period, you can get a 60-day visa. This visa cannot be extended further. Visa fee: AED 250

For Indian citizens who wish to obtain a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for the UAE, the process is simple:

Online application: You need to apply online by visiting the UAE’s official visa website.

ETA: Once your application is approved, you will receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) via email. This will be required to be shown upon arrival in the UAE.

Biometric data: Upon arrival in the UAE, your fingerprints and photo will be taken at the immigration counter. This is part of the UAE’s security process.
