Odisha Vigilance Arrests Soil Conservation Joint Director in DA Case

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance arrested Dayanidhi Bagh, Joint Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development, on Tuesday for possessing disproportionate assets worth crores.

The arrest follows simultaneous raids conducted on Monday at eight locations in Bhubaneswar, Kalahandi, and Nabarangpur.

The Vigilance unearthed assets including two buildings, a 3-BHK flat in Bhubaneswar, 84 acres of land with two farmhouses spanning 48 acres in Nabarangpur, 312 grams of gold, bank deposits exceeding Rs. 58 lakh, and a benami Brezza car. Bagh failed to provide satisfactory explanations for these assets.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS case No.24/2025 has been registered against Dayanidhi Bagh. He will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna, the Vigilance informed today following his arrest.
