Get encroachments removed from panchayat land, orders DC
Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh has directed the Sarpanch, Patwari and Gram Sachiv of Sunheri Khalsa village to get the encroachments removed from panchayat land.
During the night halt programme of the district administration on Monday evening, Rampal, a resident, raised the issue of encroachment on panchayat land. Following the complaint the DC directed the Sarpanch, Gram Sachiv and Patwari to issue notices to the people who had encroached upon the panchayat land, and get the encroachment removed.
Residents also raised complaints related to family ID, old-aged pension, condition of roads, drainage, power supply and appointment of a veterinary doctor. The residents also sought benefits under the housing scheme of the government. The residents alleged that due to politics in the village and favouritism, a number of people were not getting the benefits of the scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner said if any discrimination was observed in providing benefits to the eligible beneficiaries, then strict action would be taken against the entire team involved in the survey work of the housing scheme.
The DC said every third resident was complaining about the cleanliness in the village. Panchayat, gram sachiv and BDPO were responsible for cleanliness, and no one was serious about the issue, which was wrong. The DC directed the officials to ensure cleaning of the entire village in a week.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar, and Pala Ram raised the issue of drinking water following which Neha Singh, issued instructions to the officials concerned to ensure adequate water supply.
Neha Singh has also directed the Panchayat Department and the Irrigation Department to prepare a project to utilise overflowing water at the village within a week.
Following a complaint regarding inconvenience being faced by the girl students of ITI due to lack of public transport, the DC also announced that the for the convenience of the students, the Roadways Department would start bus service from the village. The DC instructed the General Manager of the roadways to start a bus service from the village so that the students could reach their institution and return from there easily. The Sarpanch was instructed to get the timing set. The District Elementary Education Officer was also instructed to provide a space for an e-library at government school.
Satpal, another resident, claimed that there was a theft in his house in February last year, but the police were yet to resolve the case. Superintendent of Police Nitish Agarwal assured the complainant that a special investigation would be conducted. The SP also issued instructions to take action against people who sit near the liquor vend in the village and create nuisance.
Meanwhile, the DC instructed the officials of various departments to send the action- taken report on the complaints in a week and ensure that the grievances were resolved in a time-bound manner. Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh on Tuesday inspected various drains in rural and urban areas and directed the officials get the drains cleaned. The DC visited Sector 13, Pipli, and rural areas, including Khanpur Kolia, Masana, and several other locations. The DC found that water was not flowing smoothly due to the overgrown grass following which she directed the officials to get the drains properly cleaned.
