Hemant Khandelwal Takes Charge As New BJP President Of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Hemant Khandelwal assumed charge as the new BJP president of Madhya Pradesh in a grand ceremony held at the party headquarters in Bhopal on Wednesday.

Addressing party workers, he assured that the BJP would reach new heights of success and that every worker would be given responsibilities based on their capabilities.

Khandelwal challenged the Congress party to hold even a ward-level election with the same organisational strength as the BJP. He remarked that his family has been fighting against the Congress for the last 100 years.

"I do not possess any special qualities; I am just a simple party worker," he said.

He also addressed a past perception that the BJP could not complete a full term in power. "There was once a myth that the BJP, after coming to power, could not complete its term. But Shivraj Singh Chouhan broke that myth," he said.

He added that anyone going against the party line would face consequences, but at the same time assured that every party worker would be treated with respect.

Earlier, outgoing State President VD Sharma handed over the party flag to Hemant Khandelwal, symbolizing the transfer of leadership.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan praised Khandelwal, calling him a dedicated worker who will lead the party to greater success.

Also present on the occasion were Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Ministers Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel, Inder Singh Parmar, and a large number of party workers.
