Toyota Innova HyCross Secures Prestigious 5-Star Safety Rating Under Bharat NCAP
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has achieved a significant milestone with its popular Innova HyCross securing a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). This top rating, awarded for both adult and child occupant protection, underscores Toyota’s steadfast commitment to delivering advanced safety and mobility solutions in India.
Built on the robust Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, the Innova HyCross combines structural rigidity with an extensive suite of active and passive safety features. These include Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) technology with Pre-Collision System, Lane Trace Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, and Automatic High Beam. Additionally, the MPV comes equipped with six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, ABS with EBD, Hill-Start Assist, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat mounts—ensuring comprehensive protection for all occupants.
Commenting on this achievement, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, said, “The 5-star Bharat NCAP rating for the Innova HyCross reaffirms our philosophy of prioritizing safety alongside performance and comfort. We are dedicated to making advanced safety accessible, enhancing trust in the Toyota brand.”
Launched in November 2022, the Innova HyCross has swiftly become a favourite among Indian families, crossing 1,35,000 units sold. Its SUV-inspired design, hybrid electric technology, and spacious interiors make it a standout in the segment. This latest accolade not only strengthens Toyota’s legacy of Quality, Durability, and Reliability (QDR) but also aligns with India’s vision for safer, sustainable, and self-reliant mobility.
