Govt revises salaries for part-time, daily wagers
The Haryana Government has revised wage rates for part-time and daily wage employees. The increased rates will be effective from January 1, 2025.
A notification in this regard has been issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi.
Two salary slabs have been created as per the revised rates. Under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, if the monthly salary of a part-time or daily wage employee is Rs 19,900, then his daily wage has been fixed at Rs 765 and hourly wage at Rs 96. If an employee works one hour a day in a month, he will get a salary of Rs 2,487 per month.
Similarly, if the salary of an employee has been fixed at Rs 24,100 by the Nigam, then his daily wage has been fixed at Rs 927 while per hour at Rs 116. If an employee works for one hour per day in a month, he will get a salary of Rs 3,012 per month.
The government has also issued a notification amending the Haryana Civil Services (Leaves) Rules, 2016, to provide compensatory leave for Group-C and Group D government regular employees.
Under the amended rule, if employees perform official duty on a notified holiday, they will be entitled to compensatory leave within a month. This leave can also be taken along with related holidays and station leave. However, under no circumstances the total leave period would exceed 16 days.
If an employee applies for compensatory leave within a period of one month and the sanctioning authority rejects the request, then the leave can be availed within the next 15 days, otherwise the leave will be considered expired.
Also, compensatory leave will not be provided if financial incentive has been provided or proposed for the same day.
The government has also issued a notification amending the Haryana Civil Services (Leaves) Rules, 2016. According to the notification, now all regular women employees will get 25 casual leaves per calendar year.
