Telangana set to finalise first composite Backwardness index; report to cover 242 caste groups

The expert group is set to finalize the first Composite Backwardness Index (CBI) report, analyzing data from a massive socio-economic survey. This report introduces an innovative scoring system to rank 242 caste groups based on 42 parameters, including education, income, and discrimination. The findings will soon be submitted to the chief minister after final adjustments.
