Australian Teen Dies Doing Backflip While Celebrating New House With GirlFriend In Queensland

Queensland: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Australia's Queensland. A 18-year-old man reportedly died on Monday after he suffered multiple strokes and internal bleeding, resulting from an injury whie performing a backflip at his new house.

The deceased, Sonny Blundell was celebrating his move from Central Coast in New South Wales to the Gold Coast in Queensland, when the tragedy occured on June 24. He was hospitalised and placed into a coma before undergoing brain surgery. He succumbed to his injuries on June 30. 

Blundell had recently moved to the Gold Coast suburb of Southport “to start a new life with his girlfriend” after being offered a concreting job in the area, The Daily Telegraph quoted his sister Izabella Cromack-Hay as saying.

Facetimed Sister Before Tragedy

Reportedly, Sonny FaceTimed his sister before the incident. She recounted how her brother was happy about moving into a new house and starting a new life after being offered a well-paying job in the area.

During the backflip, Sonny hit his head on the floor in the lounge. He went to sleep with a headache. When he woke up, he vomited and then lost consciousness. The following morning, his friend found him unresponsive.

Sonny was rushed to hospital, where he suffered multiple strokes and a brain bleed. He even underwent a surgery.
