Punjab women cell DSP in Faridkot caught offering Rs 1 lakh bribe to quash graft case, arrested

DSP Rajanpal, posted in Crime Against Women Cell in Faridkot, has been arrested after being caught attempting to bribe senior officials.

According to police sources, DSP Rajanpal tried to offer a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to officials at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in an effort to suppress a corruption complaint filed against him.

Following this, an FIR was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the officer was taken into custody.
