The process of connecting the Noida Airport being built in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh to the Ganga Expressway via the Yamuna Expressway has accelerated. For this, the work of marking the green field link expressway has started. The Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has started the work of marking the notified land for the construction of a 74.3 km long green field link expressway. This link expressway will be built on the land of 56 villages of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr. It will be connected to the Yamuna Expressway near Film City.
A link expressway is to be built to connect Ganga and Yamuna Expressway. This 120 meter wide link expressway will start at 44.3 km on Ganga Expressway i.e. in Siyana area of Bulandshahr and will join at 24.8 km of Yamuna Expressway i.e. near Sector-21 Film City. Earlier its length was 83 km, but after the change in alignment, a plan has been prepared to connect it to Sector-21 while avoiding the sector. This reduced the length by about 8.7 km. The link expressway will be constructed on the land of 8 villages of Gautam Buddha Nagar and 48 villages of Bulandshahr. Out of these, 14 villages are from Khurja tehsil, the rest will be from Bulandshahr, Siyana and Shikarpur tehsil. Marking has been started for the construction of the expressway. This project will be completed in about Rs 4000 crore.
Letter sent to stop the sale of land: After marking, the process of acquisition will be started. In such a situation, UPDA has also sent a letter to the administration of both the districts to stop the sale and purchase of notified land. If now the land of the link expressway is found to be bought and sold, then action will be taken against the officer.
The road to Agra including Delhi-Mumbai will be easy
After the Ganga Expressway being built from Meerut to Prayagraj is connected to the Yamuna Expressway, the road from Noida International Airport, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Agra to Greater Noida on Yamuna Expressway will become easy. Direct connectivity will also be available from Meerut to Prayagraj through this expressway. The utility of Ganga Expressway will increase further when it is connected to Noida Airport. Apart from this, the link expressway will also have direct connectivity with industrial sectors 28, 29, 32, 33 of Yamuna City, which will make it easier for cargo vehicles to reach the airport or any route connected to it. Along with this, the link expressway can also be connected to NH-34.
