Uttar Pradesh encounter: Accused opens fire on police during weapon recovery, shot in leg

Manvendra Singh, an accused individual brought from Mau district jail for investigation, was injured in a police encounter in Ballia. During interrogation, he confessed to shooting Dhannu Rajbhar and hiding the weapon. While leading police to the weapon's location, he retrieved a pistol and fired at the SHO, resulting in police retaliating and shooting him in the leg.
