Mumbai News: Pothole-Riddled BPT Road In Sewri Troubles Motorists Again; BMC Flags Issue To Port Authority
Mumbai: The traditional spot in Sewri- the road below the Eastern Freeway is filled with potholes this year too, giving hard time to the motorists. The road, commonly called as BPT road is extensive used by two wheelers and heavy vehicles which are not allowed at the Freeway flyover.
The road also connects to the Sewri railway station, this adding the traffic load. Officials from the BMC say that the road falls under Mumbai Port Authority and the civic body has reminded the authority to fill the potholes, resurface the road.

Around 85% of these have been addressed, while 474 potholes remain unattended.
The complaints include those filed by citizens as well as potholes identified by road engineers during on-site inspections. It also launched a new mobile app, 'Pothole QuickFix' where residents can register their complaints for immediate assistance.
