Panthaghati retaining wall collapses in Shimla

A retaining wall collapsed this morning in the Panthaghati residential area of Shimla, sending rubble crashing onto the roof of a building located just below. As a precaution, the building has been vacated and the two families residing there have been relocated to safer accommodations.

This is not the first incident in the area — a minor landslide had been reported earlier, highlighting the vulnerability of the terrain. The latest collapse has blocked the internal pathway of the colony, causing significant inconvenience to residents.
