Groom Among 5 Killed As Speeding SUV Crashes Into College Wall In Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal

In a devastating incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, five people, including the groom and two children, lost their lives after the SUV they were travelling in rammed into the boundary wall of Janata Inter College in Jewanai on Friday. The tragedy occurred when a wedding procession was en route from Har Govindpur village to Sirtoul in Budaun.

According to officials, the vehicle reportedly lost control due to high speed before it crashed into the college wall. Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Anukriti Sharma confirmed, “An SUV carrying a wedding party, including the groom, lost control and collided with the wall of Janata Inter College in Jewanai. Upon receiving information, immediate rescue operations were launched.”

Local police and rescue teams arrived promptly on the scene after receiving distress calls. The impact of the crash was severe, and five individuals were declared brought dead at the Jewanai Community Health Centre. The deceased have been identified as Suraj (24), the groom and son of Sukh Ram; Asha (26), his sister-in-law; her two-year-old daughter Aishwarya; Vishnu (6), son of Manoj; and one unidentified individual.

Eyewitnesses described the car as being driven at a dangerously high speed moments before it lost control.

Senior police officials, including Circle Officer and personnel from Junawai police station, also reached the spot to oversee the investigation.
