Punjabi actress Tania’s father, Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, was shot by two unidentified men on Friday afternoon at his clinic in Kot Ise Khan, Moga, Punjab He was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition. On Friday evening (July 4), Tania's team issued a first statement on her social media handle, urging privacy for the family during this difficult time

We kindly request the media to respect their privacy and give them space they need to process this. We urge everyone to be sensitive and refrain from speculation or creating stories around the situation.  Thank you for your understanding and support."

Tania's Father Shot Inside Clinic

According to Punjab Mania, eyewitnesses reported that two men arrived on a motorcycle and entered Harbans Nursing Home, where Dr. Kamboj was attending to patients. Pretending to be individuals seeking medical treatment, the assailants allegedly engaged him in conversation before opening fire.

Dr. Kamboj sustained two bullet injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Moga. "The assailants came with a plan. They approached Dr. Kamboj posing as patients, then fired at close range," confirmed the Superintendent of Police (Moga).

Police Suspect Planned Targeted Attack

The report also revealed that Tania's father had been receiving threats leading up to the attack, though no official complaint had been registered, as per police sources.

The police have sealed off the nursing home, restricting access while the forensic teams collect evidence from the scene. Authorities are also examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the movements of the suspects and identify them.
