Punjabi Actress Tania's Father Anil Jit Singh Kamboj's Attackers Posed As Patients Before Opening Fire, Say Eyewitnesses
On Friday (July 4) afternoon, Punjabi actress Tania's father, Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, was shot by two assailants and severely injured in a shocking incident that occurred at his clinic in Kot Ise Khan, a town in Punjab's Moga district. He was rushed to a private hospital in Moga and is currently in critical condition.
Gunmen Pose As Patients
According to Punjab Mania, eyewitnesses reported that two men arrived on a motorcycle and entered Harbans Nursing Home, where Dr. Kamboj was attending to patients. Posing as patients themselves, the assailants allegedly engaged him in conversation before opening fire.
Planned Attack on Doctor
Superintendent of Police (Moga) said, "The assailants came with a plan. They approached Dr. Kamboj posing as patients, then fired at close range. We're investigating all possible angles, including extortion threats."
Doctor Received Threats Earlier
Police also revealed that before the attack, Dr. Kamboj had been receiving threats in the past, although no official complaint had been filed.
CCTV Footage Under Review
The police have sealed off the nursing home, restricting access while the forensic teams collect evidence from the scene. Authorities are also examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the movements of the suspects and identify them.

On Friday evening (July 4), Tania's team issued a first statement on her social media handle, urging privacy for the family during this difficult time.
The statement read, "On behalf of Tania and family, we want to share that this is an extremely critical and emotional time for her and her family.
