Just behind him at number 2 is Harry Brook, who amassed a sensational 158 in the first innings of the Edgbaston Test. Brook, known for his aggressive stroke play, now holds 874 points and has achieved the highest ranking of his career.

Jaiswal Breaks Into Top-5

India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal has emerged as the lone Indian in the top five. The 23-year-old left-hander has been in red-hot form, registering a century in the opening Test and following it up with a composed 87 in the first innings of the Edgbaston Test. These efforts have propelled him to the fourth spot in the ICC rankings with 851 points.
