Dhurandhar First Look: 'Ghayal' Ranveer Singh Unleashes His Wrath In Aditya Dhar's Gory Thriller (WATCH)
After months of anticipation and hype, the first look of Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, was unveiled by the makers on the actor's 40th birthday. In the teaser, the actor channelled his never-seen-before menacing avatar after keeping it under wraps all this while.
Sharing the first look of the film, Ranveer wrote, "An Inferno will rise Uncover the true story of The Unknown Men (sic)." In the video, the actor can be seen flaunting his beefed up physique and long hair, and the physical transformation he underwent for the role is quite evident.
The first look video also revealed that the film is based on "incredibly true events", though it did not divulge much into the details of the tale.
Dhurandhar also stars R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and others in key roles, and the video offered impactful glimpses of the stars, adding to the intrigue amongst the audience. It also introduced Sara Arjun as the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh.
The video featured a dialogue by Ranveer, which said, "Ghayal hoon isiliye ghatak hoon", meaning, "I am injured hence, I am more dangerous". This does not just seem to be an impactful dialogue in the film by the actor, but it also comes off as a threat to his competitors in Bollywood and a promise to his fans, who have been eagerly waiting for Ranveer to make a strong comeback on the silver screens after his series of flops.
The first look promo is laced with blood and gore, and while Ranveer can be seen unleashing his wrath on enemies by bombing markets and going full throttle with his gun, Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Khanna too can be seen thrashing men with their bare hands. Arjun Rampal stole the show with his golden-toothed smirk, and Madhavan's semi-bald look piqued the interest of the audience.
Sara Arjun's presence in the film promises some light-hearted and romantic moments between Ranveer and her amidst all the bloodshed.
If reports are to be believed, Dhurandhar is an espionage thriller, directed by Uri fame, Aditya Dhar. It is set to hit the silver screens on December 5, 2025.
