Tamil remake of 'Kill' with Dhruv Vikram in the works?

Now, this is one film which we wish didn't get remade, if the news circulating of potential remake plans is indeed true. As per unconfirmed reports, a Tamil remake of Nikhil Nagesh Bhat's Kill is in the works, with Dhruv Vikram. The Adithya Varma star is said to be eyed for the role played by Lakshya in the original.
The reports also say that filmmaker Ramesh Varma, known for his work in Telugu cinema with thrillers such as Rakshasudu (the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Raatchasan) and Khiladi (with Ravi Teja).
The Hindi-language original, released last year, was an instant hit with action movie junkies, who praised it for its raw, gritty and no-nonsense filmmaking approach. The film drew comparisons to Indonesian action films such as The Raid: Redemption and The Raid 2, starring Iko Uwais, and directed by Gareth Evans.
Co-starring Raghav Juyal as the principal antagonist and Tanya Maniktala, Kill also featured Ashish Vidyarthi, and Harsh Chhaya, among others. It was produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga.
The project, yet untitled, is said to be in pre-production phase. An official announcement is awaited in this regard.
Dhru Vikram, who was last seen in an integral role opposite his father 'Chiyaan' Vikram in Karthik Subbaraj's Mahaan (released directly on Prime Video), will be seen next in the Mari Selvaraj directorial Bison, with Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead. Bison is the fourth film of Selvaraj after Pariyerum Perumaal, Karnan, Maamannan, and Vaazhai. Lal, Pasupathy, and Rajisha Vijayan are the other big names in Bison.
