Rajasthan Congress Lays Foundation For New Party Office In Jaipur, To Be Built via Crowdfunding

The construction work for the new Rajasthan Congress office began on Sunday. State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully performed a puja and laid the foundation stone for a five-story building at Mansarovar, Jaipur.

“Today is a historic day for the Rajasthan Congress as it is finally getting its own office. This building will be constructed on 6,000 square meters of land, which was allotted to the party during our tenure in government. The new premises will house the offices of all front organizations, departments, and cells of the party,” said State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra.

He added that the funds required for the construction would be raised through crowdfunding and contributions from Congress workers and leaders.

Notably, the Rajasthan Congress was operating out of an old building with limited space near Jaipur’s walled city — an area that has become overcrowded. The demand for a new office had been long pending.

Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully remarked, “It took 70 years for the Congress to build its own office because we were busy building the nation. Look at the BJP — they came to power once and built offices across the country. This shows they have focused more on creating their own infrastructure than building the nation.
