Teen stabbed to death in Indira Colony, two juveniles apprehended

A 19-year-old youth from Panchkula was killed in a late-night stabbing incident in Indira Colony on Friday, leaving the local community in shock.

The deceased, identified as Sanjeev, a resident of Rajiv Colony, Panchkula, had reportedly come to visit a friend when he was attacked by a group of individuals.

Initial investigations suggest that the attack may have stemmed from allegations that Sanjeev had been stalking one of the accused’s sisters.

Police sources stated that the victim was surrounded by three to four youths who stabbed him multiple times in the chest and abdomen before fleeing the scene. Bystanders immediately informed the Police Control Room, and the victim was rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where he succumbed to his injuries.

In a prompt crackdown, the Chandigarh Police detained two juveniles and an FIR was registered at the IT Park Police Station.

The police are continuing their investigation to establish the full sequence of events and to ascertain who else was involved in the fatal assault.
