Doctor, advocate receive extortion calls in Jhajjar

In two separate incidents, a doctor and an advocate in the district received extortion calls over the phone, with the callers demanding money and threatening them of serious consequences if their demands were not met.

Taking swift action, the Jhajjar police formed two separate teams, which led to the arrest of seven individuals in connection with the cases.

The police spokesperson said the first case was reported in the Salhawas area where the police team during investigation arrested three accused, identified as Mohan and Sahil of Ritoli, and Rakesh of Akehri Madanpur. All three were produced in court and have been remanded in police custody for further interrogation.

In another case reported at the Machhrauli police station area, another police team arrested four accused, identified as Akshay and Vishal of Ritoli, Ravindra of Ahri, and Monu of Dighal. The four were produced in a Jhajjar court and sent to judicial custody.
