Mahesh Babu Gets Into Legal Trouble; Notices Sent To Actor For Endorsing Real Estate Company That Allegedly Misleads Buyers

Telugu actor Mahesh Babu has landed in legal trouble. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the Ranga Reddy District Consumer Commission in Telangana has issued notices to the Guntur Kaaram actor for endorsing a real estate firm that misleads buyers. A complaint has been filed by a Hyderabad-based doctor alleging that she was defrauded after paying Rs. 34.8 lakh for plots that did not exist. The actor has reportedly been named as the third respondent.

Earlier this year, in April, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had summoned Mahesh Babu for questioning in a money laundering case linked to real estate firms Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. According to reports, the actor was paid Rs. 5.9 crore as the endorsement fee.

Mahesh Babu or his team is yet to give any statement regarding the current legal issue.

The actor was last seen in 2024 release Guntur Kaaram. The film, which also starred Sreeleela in the lead role, did resonably well at the box office with a collection of Rs. 126.62 crore.

Mahesh Babu will be next be seen in SS Rajamouli's directorial. The movie is currently in production, and the release date is not yet announced. However, it is expected that the film will hit the big screens in 2026 or 2027. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. It will be Mahesh Babu's first pan-India movie, and his fans are super excited about his collaboration with SS Rajamouli.
