Sharing pictures of her family holiday in Mauritius, Shweta captioned it: “Mauritius….you got me just by saying hello.”

How did she get the role in ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’
Earlier in an interview with Screen, Shweta Tiwari revealed how she got the role of ‘Prerna’ in ‘Kasauti Zindagi Ki’. She shared that TV maker Ekta Kapoor played a prank on her before offering her the role. She revealed that Ekta first saw her in the TV show ‘Aane Wala Pal’ aired on DD Metro.

Ekta had called her to her cabin to offer her the role and said, ‘One day she said, ‘Call Shweta to my cabin, I want to take her case because this cannot happen.’ I was too scared to go and meet her after pack-up. She said, ‘I have heard that you come late to my set. What do you think? We will wait for you?’ Later, she started laughing and said that she wants to see me working in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She said, ‘Prerna is my dream. I want you to play that character.’
