Kohli’s childhood coach RajKumar Sharma finds two emerging talents in…, they are…
New Delhi: Team India star batsman Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has revealed that even though Kohli is the greatest batsman of this generation in the family, the next generation has completely adopted leg spin.
Aryaveer’s entry in Delhi Premier League
On Sunday, July 6, Aryaveer, Virat Kohli’s nephew and his brother Vikas’ son, was bought by South Delhi Superstarz in the auction for the second season of the Delhi Premier League.
Aryaveer bought for Rs 1 lakh
Aryaveer, who was included in the players’ list of Delhi’s premier T20 league for the first time, was bought by South Delhi for Rs 1 lakh. Rajkumar Sharma said in an exclusive conversation with News18 CricketNext, “I am happy. Aryaveer is a promising, honest and hardworking kid. Delhi Premier League is a good platform for him to take his career forward.”
No pressure of Kohli surname
When asked if Aryaveer ever felt the pressure of the Kohli surname, Rajkumar said, “No, the family never pressured him for anything. He is a simple kid and has never tried to take advantage of his uncle’s name.”
Aryaveer and Aayush both leg spinners
It is natural to assume that with Virat Kohli as a batting legend, Aryaveer will follow the same path. But Aryaveer is a leg spinner, and Virat’s sister Bhavana’s son Aayush is also a leg spinner, as revealed by Rajkumar.
Training from West Delhi Cricket Academy
Both Aryaveer and Aayush train at the West Delhi Cricket Academy, where Virat Kohli also trained under Rajkumar years ago. “Aryaveer has always been a good bowler. Not just him, Aayush is also a leg spinner,” Rajkumar said with a smile.
