Panchayat Season 5 CONFIRMED as Season 4 sees largest opening ever for the series

With the success of Season 4, Amazon Prime Video and The Viral Fever (TVF) have announced that Panchayat Season 5 will premiere in 2026.
This comes as Panchayat Season 4 got its largest opening in the history of the series after it hit the screens on June 24. The latest season was trending among Top 10 titles across 42 countries and was watched in more than 180 countries in the first week.
Prime Video confirmed that Season 5 is already in the works, posting on Instagram: “Hi 5 Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye (Get ready to come back to Phulera). PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Coming Soon.”
Calling Panchaya a global phenomenon, Manish Menghani, Director & Head - Content Licensing, Prime Video, said, “We are absolutely delighted with the phenomenal response to Panchayat Season 4, which has further elevated the series’ stature and set new benchmarks for authentic storytelling. The season’s exceptional viewership across India and in over 180 countries within its launch week is a testament to its universal appeal and deep cultural resonance."
Menghani said Panchayat's "heartfelt narrative and relatable characters" helped the series win over audience, giving a boost to global appetite for "rooted, Indian stories".
"We’re excited to share that work has already begun on Season 5, and we look forward to continuing the journey of Phulera and its beloved characters," he added.
Vijay Koshy, the president of TVF, which produces Panchayat series, thanked the cast and crew whose passion made the show a hit and expressed gratitude towards fans who keep inspiring the makers. "We’re excited for what lies ahead and look forward to bringing Season 5 to audiences in 2026," he added.
Koshy called the collaboration with Prime Video "a truly extraordinary journey", saying there is a special place for Panchayat in their hearts. "...It beautifully captures the charm, humour, and nuances of rural India, celebrating the power of simple, human storytelling," he added.
He said through Panchayat, both TVF and Prime Video wanted to tell meaningful stories that are relatable to people from various backgrounds. “We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming love Season 4 has received—not just from viewers across India, but from audiences around the world,” he said.
