New Role, Same Old Fight: Karnataka Crown Still In Play

The political drama in Karnataka shows no signs of slowing down. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's own economic advisor sparked a storm by flagging a funds crunch, triggering a sharp opposition attack on the Congress government.  Adding to the chaos, lorry drivers' strike has further complicated matters, with protests over rising costs.

The BJP accused Siddaramaiah of backtracking on his flagship welfare guarantees. But the CM hit back, issuing a strong rebuttal. Dismissing the advisor's remarks, Siddaramaiah asserted that the state's finances are stable, guarantees will not be altered, and sufficient funds have been earmarked to honour every promise made to the people.
