Although de Minaur bagged the first set comprehensively 6-1, the 38-year-old came back in style, holding plenty of resolve. The next three sets went Djokovic's way, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, helping him progress to the next round of the tournament. Several big personalities like cricketers Joe Root, James Anderson, Virat Kohli were present at the Centre Court, while eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer also made an appearance.

"This is probably the first time he is watching me and I have won the match" - Novak Djokovic on Roger Federer
After the match, Djokovic said he is relieved to break the curse of him losing the match in front of Federer, who he has admired growing up. The veteran stated, as quoted by BBC Sport:
"This is probably the first time he is watching me and I have won the match. The last couple of times I lost, so it's good to break the curse. Roger is a huge champion and someone I admired and respected a lot. We shared the stage for many years and it is great to have him back at his most successful and favourite tournament."
Djokovic will face Flavio Cobolli in the quarter-final.
