Madhya Pradesh News: Wall Collapses at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur During Rain, One Dead, 10 Injured

A tragic incident occurred at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a wall of a roadside eatery collapsed due to heavy rainfall, killing one woman and injuring ten others. The injured include women and children, who were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Most of the victims are reportedly devotees from Bihar and Kolkata who had gathered at the Dham ahead of the Guru Purnima celebrations.The area has been experiencing intense rainfall, and with the influx of nearly one lakh devotees, crowd control has become increasingly challenging. Following the incident, spiritual leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, popularly known as Baba Bageshwar, made a heartfelt appeal through a video message. He urged devotees to stay at home and celebrate Guru Purnima privately, citing the ongoing monsoon and massive crowd buildup at the dham.He emphasized the safety of the devotees, asking them to perform the traditional paduka poojan rituals from their homes on July 10 instead of traveling to the dham. The administration and Bageshwar Dham authorities have also requested people to avoid visiting the site due to the unsafe weather conditions and overcrowding.
