Uttar Pradesh News: Bulldozer Action On Changor Baba's Property Linked To ₹100 Cr Foreign Funding
In a major crackdown in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur district, authorities initiated a bulldozer action against Changor Baba’s illegal properties in Utraula. The action follows his arrest by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) over allegations of large-scale religious conversion and receiving foreign funding amounting to ₹100 crore.According to officials, Changor Baba was the kingpin of a well-organized religious conversion syndicate. The ATS uncovered evidence suggesting the group was involved in illegally converting hundreds of people under the guise of spiritual healing and miracles. Investigations also revealed that Changor Baba and his aides received substantial foreign funds to fuel these conversions, violating the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).Following his arrest, local administration began demolishing unauthorized structures built on illegally acquired land linked to him and his associates. The demolition was conducted under heavy security, sending a clear message about the state’s tough stance on illegal conversions and land encroachment. This action is being seen as part of the Yogi Adityanath-led government’s wider campaign against unlawful religious conversions and anti-national funding networks. Senior police officials confirmed that the crackdown will continue and more arrests are likely.
