'Nikal Do Dadhi Apni, Nahi Toh Hum...': Sanjay Raut’s Scathing Attack On DyCM Shinde Over Nishikant Dubey's 'Patak-Patak Ke Marenge' Remark (VIDEO)

Mumbai: In response to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey's controversial remarks against Marathi-speaking people, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut launched a scathing attack on Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Questioning his silence on the ongoing controversy over language in the state, Raut taunted his appearance and said, "Eknath Shinde apne aap ko duplicate Shiv Sena ka neta manta hai na, dadhi pe haath ghumata phirta hai… nikaldo dadhi aapki, agar dadhi mein dam nahi haina toh dadhi katkar ghumo, nahi toh hum kat denge dadhi apki (Ekanth Shinde calls himself a leader of the duplicate Shiv Sena. He always runs his hand over his beard; if he doesn't have the guts, he should remove it, or else we will shave it for him).

Raut Slams Shinde’s Silence, Dares Him to Resign

Demanding Shinde’s resignation, Raut also criticised him for remaining silent despite a "BJP MP (Nishikant Dubey) insulting the Marathi identity". “What kind of a Chief Minister are you? A BJP MP speaks ill about Marathi, and you stay quiet. If you are a man, resign. Remove your beard or we will remove it,” Raut added.

He further accused Shinde of betraying the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj and Balasaheb Thackeray, saying those who fail to defend Marathi pride have no right to invoke their names. The outburst comes after Dubey’s controversial comment daring the Thackeray cousins to enter states like Uttar Pradesh or Bihar, threatening they’d be “beaten to death.”

Raut further appealed to Hindi-speaking leaders in the state to publicly reject Dubey's remarks and prove their commitment to Maharashtra. “I ask the Hindi-speaking leaders here to oppose Dubey and show that they have accepted Maharashtra,” he said, adding that not a single non-Marathi has been targeted in the state.

“This is Maharashtra, not Tamil Nadu,” Raut further said, calling it the responsibility of Deputy CMs Ajit Pawar and Shinde to rein in such provocative statements.

Raut’s remarks come as political fault lines deepen over language and regional identity in Maharashtra, especially after the viral video of MNS workers attacking a sweet shop owner in Mira Road stirred statewide debate over language imposition.
