Yash usually charges a fee of Rs 200 crore for his films. But sometimes the actor has also spent his days in poverty. Very few people know that the actor’s father was a bus driver. At one time, Yash also ran away from his home to become an actor and at that time he had only 300 rupees in his pocket.

Yash is the second most expensive actor of ‘Ramayana’ with a fee of Rs 100 crore. At number one is Ranbir Kapoor who is playing the role of Ram and is charging Rs 150 crore. ‘Ramayana’ is being made in two parts, the first part will be released on Diwali 2026 and the second part on Diwali 2027. Yash is going to play the role of Ravana, the king of Lanka, in the film. Yash has only a 15-minute role in ‘Ramayana Part 1’ for which the superstar has charged a whopping amount of Rs 50 crore.

When Yash ran away from home with Rs 300

In an old interview given to The News Minute, Yash had said- ‘I had run away from my home. When I came to Bangalore, I was scared as soon as I reached there. Such a big, scary city. But I was always a confident boy. I was not afraid to struggle. When I reached Bangalore, I had only 300 rupees in my pocket. I knew that if I went back, my parents would never let me come back here.’

Did you know Yash served tea to earn money?

You won’t believe, Rocky bhai once used to serve tea for income. Yash had said- ‘I started doing theatre. Luckily someone took me to theatre. I didn’t know anything about it. I started earning money backstage. From serving tea to everything else. Initially, I also helped a director to get entry in Kannada film industry.’
