'You Are The One Who Criticise Them" - Yuvraj Singh Slams Media For Being Overly Critical Of Gautam Gambhir & Ajit Agarkar After Team India's Historic Win At Edgbaston

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh called out the criticism of coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, keeping in mind the comprehensive 336-run victory over England in the second Test at Edgbaston. Yuvraj stated that the credit must be as heavily given to the duo for the wins they have racked up.

The Asian Giants bounced back in style from the five-wicket defeat to England in the first Test at Headingley. The 336-run victory proved to be a team performance as it was also Team India's first Test win at the venue, having previously lost seven out of eight red-ball games.

Speaking to the Times of India exclusively on the sidelines of the charity gala hosted by him in London on Tuesday, Yuvraj said most of the unwarranted comes from the media.

"That's you guys. You are the one who criticise them more when we lose. But when we win, they must get as much credit as the captain does. So it's the media. Since Ajit Agarkar has come, you've won the T20 World Cup, been in the finals of 50 overs, you won the Champions Trophy and now they've won at Edgbaston. So, there has to be credit given to Gautam and Agarkar as well and the other selectors."

Team India in high spirits ahead of Lord's Test

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill and co. are in high spirits ahead of facing England in the third Test at Lord's Cricket Ground, beginning on July 10, Wednesday. India will not only be buoyed by Jasprit Bumrah's return for the fixture but also the fact that they have won 2 out of their last 3 Tests at Lord's.

England have marked one change to their playing XI, bringing in Jofra Archer for Josh Tongue.
