Booth-level officers in Ludhiana get training under national prog
Working on the directions of the Election Commission of India (EC), the training of booth-level officers (BLOs) under the National Training Programme continued for the third consecutive day at the civic body office here on Wednesday.
Under the training sessions being organised for the BLOs at MC zone-A office, training is being given to around 300 BLOs deputed in Ludhiana (East) constituency. The training session is being held in batches and each batch comprises 50 BLOs.
The MC Joint Commissioner-cum-Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for Ludhiana (East), Abhishek Sharma, supervised the training session. The training was given by assembly-level master trainer (ALMT). Executive Engineer Arvind Kumar was also present during the training session.
During the training session, the BLOs were apprised of different forms that were filled during the election process. They were also informed about the working of the BLO app and voter helpline mobile application. After the completion of the training session, an assessment test was also taken and the winner was felicitated with a certificate. Participation certificates were given to all BLOs for taking part in the training exercise.
The officials stated that the training session for BLOs deputed in different Assembly segments would continue in the coming days.
