Tragic! Blood Cancer Patient Hangs Self Due To Unbearable Pain At Gwalior's JAH Hospital

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, a 70-year-old cancer patient ended his life by hanging himself inside the New JAH Hospital in Gwalior on Wednesday night. 

The deceased, identified as Ramkaran Rathore, was admitted to the fifth floor surgical ward for blood cancer treatment. It is said, he took the extreme step due to unbearable pain.

According to information, he used a towel to make a noose and hung himself from the ward’s window. By the time the hospital staff noticed, he had already passed away.

Ramkaran was a resident of Morena’s Nahar Singh Yadav Colony. His family took him to many hospitals in the past. However, with no improvement in his condition, he had been living in constant pain and stress.

Despite his family’s emotional support, he was unable to bear the pain caused by blood cancer.

Case registered 

According to police, the incident took place when everyone was asleep. Ramkaran tied a towel around his neck and hanged himself. His family discovered him later and immediately informed the hospital staff and police. The police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and sent it for postmortem.

Kampu police station in-charge Madan Mohan Malviya confirmed the suicide. He said that initial investigation suggests the man took the extreme step due to unbearable pain and mental stress caused by the illness. 

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
